Through the year we've taken several photographs of events happening in and around Llanwrtyd Wells, and we though this would be a great place to share some of those images.
New Years Day 2009 - Walk along the River Irfon.
We set out from the Guest house, and walked West, following the River Irfon towards Llanwrtyd passing St David's Church. It was frosty and cold, making the scenery glitter with ice. It was a magical walk, it was only a 3 mile walk, but it cleared our heads and was a great welcome to 2009.
Llyn Brianne - Christmas 2008.
Llyn Brianne is a man made lake or reservoir in the headwaters of the River Towy. Under the reservoir there are a couple of houses, which were flooded to make way for the water reservoir. Before the water level was raised, it was possible to walk to one of the houses as a "For Sale" sign was once erected on it. It is still possible to see the top of the house when the water levels are low. Click here to read more about the Dam and Reservoir...
