We are pretty sure we must have the cleanest air in the whole of Great Britain. Stand outside and fill your lungs and see what we mean. We are ideally situated for visitors to get out and explore our unspoilt part of Wales. We have rare species of flora and fauna in the woods, mountains and hills around us.

Seeing a red kite soar above you is simply breathtaking. Our river, the Irfon is a tributary of the Wye and salmon return every year to spawn.

As well as the countryside, Llanwrtyd Wells is officially Britain’s smallest town. For a small town it has a lot going on and a massive quota of charm. The town became a popular Victorian Spa town and location to “take the waters” – an activity we only suggest to the hardiest and most adventurous visitor.

Another reason to visit Llanwrtyd Wells is to explore some of the many local festivals.

These include:

Mid Wales Beer Festival
Llanwrtyd Wells Food Festival
Bog Snorkelling Triathlon
Red Kite Mountain Bike Bash
Man versus Horse Marathon
Welsh Music and Dance Festival
Chariot Racing
Ron Skilton Half Marathon
